After a successful beginning to the Cleveland Browns preseason with a win down in Jacksonville a week ago against the Jags, the Browns are preparing to battle the New York Giants down at First Energy Stadium Sunday afternoon under the sunny skies of Northeastern Ohio.
There were several positives taken away from that game a week ago when new young stars started to emerge, and the new and improved Browns defense started to take shape.
Let’s look at four things that we should all be looking at for our Brownies this next game:
1st down: JOK
The newly drafted linebacker from Notre Dame, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah certainly made a splash with his team and fans after putting on a great performance against Jacksonville. He recorded eight tackles, three of those for losses including a sack on the quarterback. Much has been reported this week of JOK and his knack for finding the ball and his hardnosed tackles. His speed and swiftness around the field were duly noted as well.
In front of a large home crowd this weekend, and the game being nationally televised again, I wouldn’t be surprised if he outdoes his previous output.
