Browns 1st and Goal Report: Ravens’ “Jamboree” a classless move

September 15, 2025 by NEO Sports Insiders

1st and Goal: Ravens rubbing the Browns fans’ noises in it with their 30-year celebration

The only word that comes to mind when describing the Baltimore Ravens is “classless”. Their team plans on celebrating their 30 years of existence when they play the Browns in this Week 2 matchup. Their jamboree is celebrating the stealing of our Browns teams back in 1995. Then, Cleveland owner Art Modell chose to take his Browns team to Baltimore, sucker punching every Browns fan and gutting Northeast Ohio’s football spirit. It was a devastating move for the sports world in general, and it showed how greed could sway a heartless owner.

2nd and Goal: Stefanski and the Browns have gone 4-4 against the Ravens since 2021

It seems that many Browns fans have forgotten that the Browns and their coach, Kevin Stefanski, have compiled a 4-4 record against Baltimore over the past four seasons. Cleveland beat the Ravens last season 29-24 in a home game. The year before, Browns cornerback Greg Newsome had a pick-six late in an away game to help Cleveland get the big win. So while there are many not predicting a Cleveland victory in this Week 2 battle, don’t be surprised if they earn an early-season win against their rivals.

3rd and Goal: Joe Flacco, former Ravens QB, looks to pass all day to lead Cleveland to the victory

Joe Flacco, the Browns’ current quarterback, used to be the quarterback for the Ravens. He led his old team to a Super Bowl win back in 2013.

Flacco has now played with the Browns dating back to 2023 and has played very well in that time. He had a series of five straight games where he threw for over 300 yards. He almost made those six games last week in the game against Cincinnati, but fell a bit short with 290 passing yards.

Flacco will need to have a big game on Sunday if the Browns want to win the game. I expect that to be the case too as he returns to play at his former team’s stadium. Flacco is playing with house money these days and doesn’t have much to lose. He’s playing like a savvy veteran and understands what it takes to win games.

4th and Goal: Run game to get a boost from Quinshon Judkins

Browns fans learned Saturday that the team’s new rookie running back, Quinshon Judkins, would be suiting up for the game on Sunday. He hasn’t been with the team for several months while he was dealing with some off-the-field situations. He signed with the team late last week and now plans to play against the Ravens.

The second round pick of the team in this past NFL draft hopes to add a little mustard to a new running back room that also includes rookie Dylan Sampson, who played a great game against Cincinnati last Sunday.

While it’s very early in their young careers, Browns fans are hoping this new duo will give their team an added boost.

Judkins is considered more of the bell cow back, carrying the load moving forward this season, while Sampson is more of the finesse back. Last week, Sampson seemed to be everywhere for the offense. He ended up carrying the ball 12 times for 29 yards and caught eight passes for 64 yards.
