What a week for us Cleveland Browns fans and the team won last game. So many things to discuss as the Browns prepare to battle the high-powered Los Angeles Chargers Sunday afternoon. Most of the chatter has been around Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield and his dismal performance last week. Did we forget about the stellar Browns defense again limiting their opponent to only seven points?
There have been injuries to the offensive line this week and it’s a long-distance affair as the Browns go out to the west coast. What could possibly happen after this game? Let’s look a little deeper and go 4th down and goal.
1st Down – The magnet of controversy
Can we give Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield any more of our attention? It’s been a tough week for me to try and figure out some of those Browns fans and media outlets who have been ruthless in their negativity toward Mayfield, his minor injury and questioning if he’s our guy?
Are you kidding me?
I’m so annoyed by all of you in the world that have this grudge against Baker just because you’ve never liked him and because he had a bad game you’ve become like vultures and are in full attack mode.
Mayfield has brought stability to a position that the team has tried securing for 30 years. Behind Mayfield’s leadership, the team went 11-5 a year ago and won a playoff game. He’s currently 26-23 in his career after the Browns had only won four games in the previous 50 games.
He got injured a few weeks ago and now the sky is falling. Mayfield is done and the Browns should move on without him. That’s your argument. Again, you’ve got to be kidding me.
Take your argument elsewhere. Certainly, the Browns players and organization are ignoring your out-of-bounds arguments. Thank goodness because Mayfield is our franchise quarterback for many years to come. By the way, the Browns did actually win their game a week ago and are 3-1. Thank you, Mr. Mayfield.
Obviously, a lot of that victory had to do with the Browns, suddenly superior defense. Let’s give a shout out to them and how will they do Sunday against the Chargers?
