Cleveland will be looking for just its second win in Detroit in franchise history.
The Cleveland Browns will face the Detroit Lions in Week 4 of the 2025 NFL season.
The Lions were the talk of the NFL for most of the 2024 season in winning the NFC North Division. But they were one-and-done in the playoffs as quarterback Jared Goff tossed three interceptions and the defense allowed 481 yards of offense in losing to the Washington Commanders.
The Browns have not played in Detroit since 2017, and have only won once in franchise history as the road team against the Lions. Included in that streak are NFL Championship Game losses in 1953 and 1957.
With the 2025 NFL schedule now released, we can break down each matchup and each team for this season. Here is a quick primer on the match-up between the Browns and Lions.
