Browns Call Up 2 Players For Sunday’s Chiefs Game

On Saturday afternoon, the Cleveland Browns made the decision to call up to players from the team’s practice squad.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Browns called up linebacker Elijah Lee and kicker Chris Naggar. Both will be placed on the team’s active roster before Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The decision to add Naggar to the active roster could be troubling news for the Browns. Starting kicker Chase McLaughlin enters the game with a questionable designation after suffering a hamstring injury in practice.

It’s unclear if he’ll be able to go, so Naggar’s addition to the active roster was necessary.

Browns have elevated LB Elijah Lee and K Chris Naggar to the active roster from the practice squad for Sunday’s opener vs. Chiefs.

Sunday’s showdown between the two teams is a rematch of last year’s showing in the playoffs. Kansas City walked out with a the win, but Cleveland showed it has what it takes to compete with the best teams in the league.

The Browns have plenty of hype heading into the 2021 season as well. The team added former No. 1 overall pick Jadeveon Clowney, who will line up opposite Myles Garrett.

That tandem should provide plenty of pass rush for the Browns this season.

Kansas City and Cleveland kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS.
