Rookies will report July 18, with veterans to follow on July 22, as Cleveland prepares for the 2025 season.

The NFL announced the official dates for the start of training camp on Wednesday for each team, including the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns will begin their full preparation for the 2025 regular season when rookies report on July 18 to team headquarters in Berea. The veterans will follow on July 22 as things get into full swing, as Cleveland looks to rebound from a disappointing 3-14 record in 2024.

This will be the first opportunity for fans to watch the Browns on the first day of training camp since 2022, as head coach Kevin Stefanski has taken the squad to The Greenbrier resort in West Virginia the past two years for the start of training camp.

In addition to the practices in Berea, the Browns will travel to Carolina on August 6 for a joint practice with the Carolina Panthers before the teams meet in a preseason game. Cleveland will be in Philadelphia a week later for two days of joint practices with the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, again as part of the run-up to the Browns and Eagles meeting in the preseason.

Training camp will also mark the debut of Dawg Pound XL on July 25, the team’s season-long celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Dawg Pound, which was born by cornerbacks Hanford Dixon and Frank Minnifield during training camp in 1985. The celebration will include content, fan events, and activities throughout the 2025 season.

Cleveland’s preseason schedule includes games against the:

  • Carolina Panthers on August 8 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.
  • Philadelphia Eagles on August 16 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
  • Los Angeles Rams on August 23 at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland.

The Browns open the regular season at home on September 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
