Aren’t you excited about seeing our Cleveland Browns play football again? I know it is a preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars Saturday night down in Florida, but it’s football and we love it and the Browns are coming off an 11-5 season in which they made a run in the playoffs and are primed for another great year.
Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield will not play along with several other key offensive players like Odell Beckham Jr. But so many new faces including rookies and free agent signees will be in full uniform ready to put on a show. With only three preseason games this season, every second matters in players’ evaluation.
Here are four players that I’ll be watching Saturday to see what all the fuss is about!
Greg Newsome II
The fact that he has a II next to his last name means that he’s going to be twice as good as advertised! Newsome was drafted in the first round by the Browns this draft and all indications are that he’s the real deal. He has been getting props from teammates and coaches for his excellent ability to learn things quickly at the NFL level. He’s also been praised for his coachability. It’ll be interesting to see how he performs under the lights for the first time as a Brown. I fully expect him to do well!
