The Cleveland Browns enter the 2025 NFL draft cycle in need of a quarterback once again, and a new mock draft has them making a frequent selection: Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
Sanders, who the Browns already have a visit scheduled with, is seen as one of the top two quarterbacks in a class that otherwise lacks depth. The other quarterback to consider at the top of the draft in this class is Miami’s Cam Ward. In Daft on Draft’s new podcast, however, they leaned with the Colorado quarterback.
The reasoning for drafting Sanders over Ward?:
“I’ve been pretty vocal that playing within structure is a non-negotiable and throwing the football accurately is a non-negotiable for me. I will take A intangibles and A+ accuracy and B tools over the opposite any day. So Shedeur Sanders to the Browns with the second overall pick in this mock draft here.”
