The “Dawg Pound XL” will provide fans exciting opportunities to celebrate one of its biggest traditions.

The Cleveland Browns are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the iconic Dawg Pound with a season-long initiative titled “Dawg Pound XL.” The campaign honors the passion, loyalty, and legacy of one of the NFL’s most recognizable fan traditions, originally sparked in 1985 by Browns legends Hanford Dixon and Frank Minnifield.

“Dawg Pound XL” will roll out unique content, fan events, and activities throughout the 2025 season. Highlights include special gate giveaways at training camp, a dedicated Dawg Pound game day against the Packers on September 21, and a season-long focus on fan experiences, including dog adoptions and the return of the Dawg Pound captain’s pregame guitar smash.

A documentary titled The Dawg Pound: A Forty-Year History will debut in July, featuring interviews with alumni, fans, and players. Browns alumni will also be honored during Alumni Weekend as part of the Packers game festivities.

The initiative will launch at training camp on July 25 at CrossCountry Mortgage Campus and include the “Biggest Dawg Pound Fan” sweepstakes and exclusive merchandise from Homage, Fanatics, and 47 Brand.

“For 40 years, the Dawg Pound has been the heart and soul of the Cleveland Browns,” said Haslam Sports Group CMO Brent Rossi.
