Aug. 18 (UPI) — The Cleveland Browns signed former Texas Longhorns wide receiver Isaiah Bond to a three-year, $3.018 million contract, agent Damien Butler announced Monday.
It will be interesting to see if Bond will be able to stay out of trouble despite being under this contract with the Browns moving forward. Whether this distraction will be something or nothing at all. That remains to be seen; that’s for sure.
The Browns are taking a gamble here and we shall see if the results pay off or not. If they simply become a distraction to a team that already is filled with them to begin with….
If Bond is able to stay out of trouble, he could potentially become a great wide receiver for this team. However, that’s a lot to simply ask for in the coming weeks/months, which could result in much bigger problems.
After all, there’s a reason why this receiver wasn’t picked in a usual spot. This, despite being a projected “day two” pick to begin with in this year’s draft. Teams simply didn’t want to deal with his issues and that does make sense.
