We are conducting polls as we go through our annual training camp previews by position for the Cleveland Browns. Here is a recap of the results from the quarterback position:
I began Part 1 of our quarterback preview by taking a poll on the expectations for QB Joe Flacco, who I’m viewing as the favorite to win the starting job. Overall, 87% of fans think he’ll be the opening day starter, while 13% think he either won’t start or won’t make the team. Out of the people who think he’ll be the opening day starter, most fans (75%) believe he’ll be benched at some point.
We also asked whether fans think Kenny Pickett will make the 53-man roster. The result was an even 50-50 split down the middle.
In Part 2 of our quarterback preview, we started off with the rookie quarterbacks by asking who fans think will take the first regular season snap. Dillon Gabriel was the leader with 59% of the snaps, followed by Shedeur Sanders at 32%. The remaining 9% of fans think neither quarterback will play a down in 2025.
Lastly, we still had to ask about Deshaun Watson lingering in the background. 88% of fans say he will not take a snap for Cleveland this year, while 12% see a path to it.
