Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore filled in admirably for Amari Cooper in last night’s win over the New York Jets. But Moore paid a steep physical price in the process.
According to Browns insider Jake Trotter of ESPN, Moore had to spend last night in a hospital after hitting the ground hard in last night’s win. Per the report he has since returned home but is now in the NFL concussion protocol.
The injury occurred during a seemingly routine tackle to the ground. But after hitting the turf, Moore struggled to get up and appeared to be moving only involuntarily.
Moore had to be helped off the field in order to be taken to the hospital. He finished the game with five receptions for 61 yards and one touchdown in the 37-20 win.
At the time, fans were scared for Moore with many recalling a similar injury that Tua Tagovailoa suffered last year:

“Tua last year and that fencing response is what immediately came to mind. Hope he’s ok. Nice of Al and Kirk to completely disregard what was going on,” one user wrote last night.
“Yeah, that was tough to watch. Sending positive thoughts his way for a speedy recovery,” wrote another.
“I wasn’t able to tell how bad it was until I slowed it down and saw he couldn’t break the fall with his arms…really scary it can happen just like that,” a third wrote.
We all wish Elijah Moore a speedy recovery from that injury.
