The Cleveland Browns need a quarterback in the 2025 NFL draft, and Miami’s Cam Ward is near the top of the board for most draft analysts.
Ward and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders are seen as the top two quarterbacks in the class with the NFL combine next week. Both of them friends, Sanders and Ward train together and will get to go through the process together.
Ward has a message to NFL teams that pass on him:
“If you don’t draft me, that’s your fault. You’ve got to remember you’re the same team that’s got to play me for the rest of my career, and I’ll remember that.”
Daft on Draft has both quarterbacks charted and prefers Sanders’ accuracy and ball placement profile over Ward’s. Ward has better physical tools, but Sanders may just be more Day 1 ready to roll with a shorter runway to success.
We’ll see if either of the quarterbacks chooses to throw at the NFL combine in Indianapolis next week.
Picking second and needing a new face of the franchise, will the Browns pull the trigger on either?
