With Myles Garrett asking for a trade, could Colorado’s Travis Hunter be the next great Cleveland Browns talent?
Generational.
This term has been increasingly thrown around over the past few years in discussions surrounding the prospects at the top of NFL draft boards. While what determines a “generation” in the NFL is vague, a small sect of players can rightfully claim that adjective as a descriptor. Myles Garrett is among those select few, as proven by his athleticism, accolades, and records.
“The goal was never to go from Cleveland to Canton, it has always been to compete for and win a Super Bowl. With that in mind, I have requested to be traded from the Cleveland Browns.”
On February 3rd, Garrett officially requested a trade from the Browns organization, leaving many fans with a feeling of loss and hopelessness. These emotions are familiar to this franchise, which is crowned with the moniker The Factory of Sadness. Today, I will not delve into what Myles means to this organization, this team, and the greater city of Cleveland. Instead, I will turn my gaze towards our long-lost beacon of hope, a top-five pick in the NFL draft.
The 2025 NFL draft is interesting. It does not have the same quantity of high-level talent that NFL teams have been spoiled with over the past few years at the quarterback, edge, and tackle positions. What further adds to the intrigue surrounding this draft is that it includes one of the best football athletes the world has ever seen.
