Cleveland- The Browns’ rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders was ticketed for speeding in excess of 100mph early Tuesday morning. The stop occurred in Strongsville on 71 north just a little after midnight. Speed limit in that area is 60mph meaning Shedeur was going well over 40mph the legal limit.
Speeding tickets involving excessive speeds have happened to several Cleveland athletes over the years. LeBron James was also ticketed for going over 100mph in 2007. Browns player Myles Garrett has several speeding citations including one that caused a crash in 2022.

Shedeur speeding isn’t something that most Americans haven’t been guilty of at one time or another. However, it does raise a question of young athletes and their off-the-field behavior. With fame comes a spotlight and Shedeur is no stranger to that as his father is NFL Pro Football Hall of Famer – Deion Sanders.
According to police records this is the second citation that Shedeur has received this month. He reportedly failed to appear at court for the first ticket. Sanders did speak briefly at David Njoku’s charity event Thursday saying, “I made some wrong choices personally and I can own up to them.”
