Burrow has been exactly as advertised this season: A true franchise quarterback.
He’s coming off back-to-back games of 400+ yards through the air with eight combined touchdowns and no interceptions. For the season, Burrow has 4,611 yards with 34 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
Burrow was able to lead the Bengals to their first AFC North title since 2015 after coming off a torn ACL. Sure, he has a lot of great weapons around him, but he’s been able to elevate his play to a whole new level this season.
As for Cleveland, it’s been a big struggle for Mayfield as he’s battled multiple injuries this season. He only has 17 overall touchdown passes to go along with 13 interceptions.
He’s also had star weapons around him all season in Nick Chubb, Jarvis Landry, Donovan Peoples-Jones, David Njoku, etc.
If Mayfield can’t get back to his 2020 self next season, the Browns are going to have a tough decision on their hands in regards to an extension.
Cleveland will end its season on Sunday against Cincinnati. Kickoff will be at 1 p.m. ET.
