FIVE Offensive Players the Browns Should Trade For

October 17, 2025 by Cleveland Sports Talk

FIVE Offensive Trade Targets for the Cleveland Browns

First and foremost, the odds of the Browns being buyers at the deadline are incredibly low, but that does not mean they can’t make moves to help this team win this season and in the future. I put together a list of five players I think Andrew Berry should target as the November 5th trade deadline looms larger by the minute.

1. Anthony Richardson – Quarterback – Indianapolis Colts

Make a splash, Andrew! Daniel Jones is resurging his career in Indianapolis, leaving former 2023 1st rounder Anthony Richardson fading into the shadows. Bringing him to Cleveland may be the best of both worlds. Few people in the world can match what Anthony Richardson can do from a physical standpoint. But his inability to stay healthy, limit turnovers, and become a leader in the locker room has many rightfully questioning his ability to become a successful player. But my goodness, what a fun player he would be in Cleveland. Richardson will put fans in seats, and I’m a firm believer that all he needs is the right situation to become one of the best players in the league. Cleveland, is this for you?

2. Dontayvion Wicks – Wide Receiver – Green Bay Packers

The Browns desperately need help in their receiver room. Jerry Jeudy is a solid top option, but they need more playmakers around him. I think a guy like Dontavyion Wicks would be a perfect fit in the Brown’s offense. The Browns need a physical receiver on the outside who can win 50-50 balls. Wicks is a guy who flourishes against man coverage, is a crisp route runner, and can help in short and intermediate throws. Having Wicks and Jeudy on the outside could open up more opportunities for Isiah Bond to take the top off. Given the fact that Green Bay’s receiver room is one of the deepest in the league, Wicks could be a cheap option.

3. Tyrone Tracy Jr. – Running Back – New York Giants

I know, I know, Quinshon Judkins is awesome, so why would the Browns need another running back? Because in this era of the NFL, one running back in an offense is just not sustainable. The Browns need to incorporate another set of legs in the backfield, and if they aren’t going to use Dylan Sampson (which I totally think they need to), Tyrone Tracy could be a perfect complementary piece. The former college wide receiver turned running back had a productive rookie season, putting up over 1,000 scrimmage yards last season. With Cam Skattebo emerging in New York as the new head honcho, Tracy could very well be on his way out.

4. Jaylen Wright – Running Back – Miami Dolphins

If you’ve never heard of Jaylen Wright, throw on his college tape from his days as a Tennessee Volunteer. This guy is a burner. The Dolphins’ backup ran a 4.38 40-yard dash in the combine in 2024 and hasn’t really seen the field for the Fins. The element of elite speed is lacking in the Browns offense – that has to change. Jaylen Wright could be one of the fastest players on the market right now and would be dirt cheap – Miami is imploding by the day. Still just 22 years old, I think Wright still has a lot to offer this league.

5. KeAndre Lambert-Smith – Wide Receiver – Los Angeles Chargers

If you paid attention to the preseason, this name should sound familiar. Lambert-Smith turned heads throughout training camp and in the preseason for the Chargers, but hasn’t really found the field for them during the regular season. The rookie stands at 6’1, 182 pounds and ran a 4.37 40-yard dash at the combine in March. He has the physical tools to win on the outside and stretch defense down the field. He may be tougher to get, as reports have been nothing but positive from the Chargers, but he’s the type of player Cleveland needs to bring in to change the offense.
