The latest on the former Browns left tackle.
Based on how last year went, it’s no surprise that the Cleveland Browns have appeared to move on from former first-round left tackle Jedrick Wills. But now, Jordan Schultz is reporting news that Wills might consider sitting out the 2025 season entirely:
Sources: Free agent OT Jedrick Wills, who dealt with a lingering knee injury last season, is planning to sit out most — or possibly all — of the upcoming season to fully recover and get back to 100%.

Although Wills is reportedly drawing interest from multiple teams, one can assume that due to the status of his knee, teams aren’t willing to give him much guaranteed money. And then if Wills himself isn’t confident in the condition of his knee, he probably doesn’t want to suffer another setback that prevents him from ever playing another down in the NFL again.
On the other hand, opting to take a full year off from football activities is a risky proposition in itself, especially when you consider the fact that Wills never lived up to the expectations of his draft status.
Nonetheless, we wish the former Brown well on his continued recovery. Cleveland heads into the 2025 season hoping that former second-round pick Dawand Jones can take over the starting role full-time, but he has had a plethora of injury issues of his own in his young career.
