Taking a look at where PFF ranks Stefanski amongst his coaching peers
PFF’s 2025 returning head coach rankings came out recently, and it might be surprising for some to see where Kevin Stefanski is ranked.
According to PFF’s Dalton Wasserman, the Cleveland Browns’ HC slides in at No.10 heading into the 2025 season, right behind Detroit’s Dan Campbell at No.9.
Stefanski has always had his fair share of “haters” throughout his tenure in Northeast Ohio, but his overall success in Cleveland compared to his recent predecessors is unmatched. His ability to will this team to victories when they had no business doing so in some games is a big reason why he’s ranked in the top 10.

“Stefanski has dealt with a cascade of issues in Cleveland, particularly surrounding the Deshaun Watson trade and subsequent contract extension. However, the two-time NFL Coach of the Year deserves respect as someone who gets his team to compete regardless of the circumstances.” Wasserman said.
“Stefanski broke the Browns’ long playoff drought in 2020 and picked up the franchise’s first playoff win since reentering the league in 1999. He also led a surge to the postseason in 2023 with Joe Flacco as his quarterback from Week 14 onward. Stefanski has proven he can succeed if given even adequate offensive tools. The team just needs to provide him with that to complement its excellent defense.”
This isn’t the first time that Cleveland’s head coach has been praised or complimented by the national media recently. Let’s hope that he can maintain the same degree of respect throughout a pivotal 2025 season.
