The Cleveland Browns put the week’s drama behind them in a major way on Sunday. Quarterback Baker Mayfield came out firing on all cylinders after the departure of Odell Beckham Jr. and walloped the Cincinnati Bengals for most of the afternoon.
No one was more impressed than LeBron James.
The Los Angeles Lakers star and noted Cleveland fan, who sides with the Browns in the “Battle of the Ohio”, was thrilled with his favorite NFL team’s performance on Sunday. As the Browns continued to increase their lead over the course of the afternoon, the Akron native took to social media to give his thoughts on the remarkable showing.
“Man get these boys out of here!!!” James wrote on Twitter with the Browns up big on the Bengals.

The Browns started out fast on Sunday thanks to a game-changing play from the defense. After the Bengals drove down the field without much resistance, cornerback Denzel Ward picked off Joe Burrow and returned it 99 yards for a touchdown.
Cleveland leapt out to a 7-0 lead without having taken a snap on offense and immediately caught LeBron’s attention.

One of the other highlights of the Browns game against the Bengals came early in the first half. Second-year wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones broke free on a play-action pass and hauled in a 60-yard touchdown pass from Mayfield.
The score put the Browns up 21-7 early in the second quarter and was one of The King’s favorite moments of the afternoon.

The Browns kept their foot on the pedal, at one point getting up 34-10 after a 70-yard rushing touchdown from Nick Chubb and a field goal from Chase McLaughlin. The Bengals responded with a score of their own early in the fourth quarter, but the deficit was just too much to overcome.
Cleveland will improve to 5-4 on the year and give fans like LeBron James a little more hope heading into the second half of the campaign.
