Myles Garrett Isn’t Every Position

November 30, 2025 by Cleveland Sports Talk

This article is no reason to deny that DE Myles Garrett is the best player on the Browns, but in the NFL, not only this year but potentially in the history of the game, at least at his position or on defense.

However, this afternoon’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, in which the Browns fell by a score of 26-8 in Cleveland, really proved this point. Yes, Garrett was able to get a sack and consistent pressure on the quarterback the entire game, as he usually does. Actually, a single sack is less than what we’re used to, but still…

Even so, the Browns are struggling at every position as it shows with the loss and the record now at 3-9 overall on the season, with many calling for head coach Kevin Steanski to be fired. Additionally, the team made two crucial errors on special teams that absolutely destroyed their chance to win.

Again, Garrett can only do so much and it’s to point out that this is a collective team and a collective defense that takes more than one player to win. These Browns are missing that collection and it’s appearing to get worse this week.

It’s a shame that Garrett’s talent is being wasted by the Browns to this point, who seemingly have no chance to contend for the playoffs and will finish out yet another disappointing year near the bottom of the league.

Yeah, Garrett’s numbers are always exciting and it will be cool to see him break records and make history as he always does at the end of each year, no matter the team’s result. However, the goal is to win the Super Bowl as a team and that’s not going to happen, obviously.

The only other solution that I have proposed before is if the Browns would end up making a massive trade to put Garrett on a different team and receive a bunch of draft picks of some sort this offseason. Now, that’s just an idea, not that saying it should happen and the Dawgs better get a load and then some for that…

That type of trade could result in massive future talent for a team clearly in rebuild mode moving forward…

Myles, keep it up throughout each battle. Sorry, the rest of your team is so awfully disappointing this season and ruining all of your incredible talent we are all witnesses to.
