On Wednesday’s episode of Get Up, ESPN insider Jeff Darlington made an interesting comment about Baker Mayfield and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“If for some reason the Browns, and I don’t expect this to happen, were to cut Baker Mayfield, I think he signs with the Pittsburgh Steelers the very next day,” Darlington said.
As of now, the Cleveland Browns have not been willing to release Mayfield. They’ll most likely hold out hope that a team like the Carolina Panthers trades for him either during or after the NFL Draft.
That being said, it sounds like the NFL world would like to see what Mayfield can do in the Steel City.
“I would laugh my ass off if he goes to PIT and they win the division over CLE,” Luke Easterling of Draft Wire tweeted.

Mayfield has made it abundantly clear that he’s not happy with the way the Browns handled their quarterback situation this offseason. That’s why the thought of him suiting up for their division rival is just too intriguing to ignore.
Do you think the Steelers should pursue Mayfield?
