The Cleveland Browns reportedly decided to keep it in the division for QB help.
According to longtime Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot, the team has agreed to terms on a contract with former Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley.
Huntley spent the entirety of his NFL career in Baltimore after going undrafted out of Utah. In 20 games stepping in for Lamar Jackson, Huntley’s passed for 1,957 yards, eight touchdowns and seven interceptions while completing 64.6% of his passes.
The 26-year-old was a Pro Bowl selection in 2022 after helping guide the Ravens to the playoffs with a 2-2 record in four starts. He now joins a QB room that features Deshaun Watson, Jameis Winston and Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
Winston signed with the Browns last week on a one-year, $4 million deal that has the chance to make another $4.7 million in incentives for starts and wins.
The Browns are coming off an 11-6 season that saw their postseason hopes saved by the immortal Joe Flacco following Watson’s season-ending shoulder surgery.
Despite bringing Watson to Cleveland on the richest fully-guaranteed contract in NFL history, the franchise hasn’t gotten anywhere near the play they would’ve hoped.
But with new coordinator Ken Dorsey in the fold, Browns fans are hoping they’ll see the best out of their $230 million man.
