Cleveland’s rookies will get a primer on how to market themselves as they make the move from college to the NFL.
The NFLPA announced that the 31st annual Rookie Premiere will take place next week from May 14-17 in Los Angeles, California. 42 rookies will participate in the event, which essentially serves as a primer on how to get acclimated to the commercial side of the NFL, as well as opportunities to make yourself more marketable.
Of the 42 players invited, the Cleveland Browns will have three rookies in attendance:
- RB Quinshon Judkins
- QB Dillon Gabriel
- QB Shedeur Sanders
Here are some examples of things the rookies will partake in:
This year’s Rookie Premiere will include autograph signings and trading card photoshoots with Panini America, official Fanatics jersey unveilings, as well as live-action and studio content sessions. Rookies will also participate in orientation sessions led by union leadership, gaining insights into group licensing, personal branding, and passive income opportunities, building on their NIL experiences from college.
It’s also a good thing that the Rookie Premiere will not conflict with the Browns’ offseason calendar. Rookie minicamp is May 9-11, and then OTAs are May 27-28. After the Rookie Premiere concludes, we’ll have a full recap of the Browns players’ involvement.
