Shedeur Sanders Dynasty Outlook

December 12, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

Shedeur Sanders was a controversial figure coming into the 2025 NFL draft. After his slide to day three of the draft, Austin Ambler highlighted Sanders as the type of quarterback to target late in dynasty drafts. With a couple of games under his belt, let’s take a look at Shedeur Sanders’ dynasty price, situation, and what to do with him in your leagues.

Shedeur Sanders Dynasty Outlook

Shedeur Sanders Fantasy Production

Through three full games, Sanders is averaging 18.1 ppg. It’s a small sample size, but it has showcased some of the strengths and weaknesses of Sanders as a quarterback. Sanders has been responsible with the ball, accurate in the short and intermediate area, and is showing why he should have been ahead of Dillon Gabriel from the beginning of the season. He doesn’t add much on the ground as a scrambler, but has kept himself out of too much trouble, limiting sacks.

The sacks were a big concern for Sanders coming into the NFL, and his growth in that area is cause for celebration. If he can string together some more games of competent to above-average quarterback play, he will leave the Browns with some serious decisions to make in the 2026 NFL draft.

Shedeur Sanders Dynasty Price

Sanders is currently priced as the QB28 on fantasycalc. He’s just ahead of Tyler Shough, but just behind Michael Penix and Tua Tagovailoa. In superflex leagues, he’s a cheap QB2 but is off the radar in most 1QB formats. Checking some of the recent dynasty trades, he’s right in line with a 2027 second and a 2026 third.

Shedeur Sanders Situation

As with most quarterbacks, the situation around Sanders matters for his dynasty price. The team is set to lose most of its offensive line in 2026. Even if they don’t lose them, they’ve been underwhelming to say the least. The Browns lack a true difference-making receiver, and David Njoku is also a free agent next season. The Browns will have two first-round picks next year as a result of the Travis Hunter trade, which would give them ample ammunition to trade up for a quarterback if they choose to. They’re one of six teams with a chance for the first overall pick in 2026, so even without a trade, they might be staring Fernando Mendoza or Dante Moore in the face.

What to do With Shedeur Sanders in Superflex Dynasty Leagues

Rebuilding Teams

For teams that are rebuilding, Sanders is a high-upside, low-cost target before the 2026 draft. It’s a coin flip on whether the team targets a quarterback or not. If they don’t, you’ll have a QB2 to build around for next season. If they do, the hit-rate for second and third round picks in dynasty isn’t something to write home about.

Middle of the Road Teams

If you already have Sanders, he’s worth holding on to. But he’s not going to push your team over the hump, so reaching out to grab him as a piece to win a championship likely isn’t worth it. Waiting until after the draft to acquire cheap veterans for a playoff push is the better course of action.

Playoff Teams

It’s unlikely Sanders is the key piece for a championship run in the next couple of years. Using Sanders as a piece of a package to get a true difference maker, or for liquid capital to acquire veterans later in the offseason, may make sense. Unless you’re really hurting for a QB2, Sanders is off of your radar.
