Taking a look at Ranker.com’s top 10 Browns players of all time
The Cleveland Browns have had a lot of excellent players throughout the history of professional football, and today we’re going to be diving into a new, fan-made list of the team’s top 10 players of all time.
The list comes from Ranker.com, a site that uses fan voters to rank different categories amongst sports teams. This specific list is aggregated from 4,500 Browns fans and was updated in May.
Let’s dive into the top 10 and see if everyone agrees here:
- RB Jim Brown (1957-1965)
- OT Joe Thomas (2007-2017)
- QB Otto Graham (1946-1955)
- TE Ozzie Newsome (1978-1990)
- DE Myles Garrett (2017-present)
- LB Clay Matthews Jr. (1978-1993)
- RB Nick Chubb (2018-2024)
- QB Bernie Kosar (1985-1993)
- WR Paul Warfield (1964-1969, 1976-1977)
- K Lou Groza (1946-1967)
Note: Paul Brown was listed at #8, but this is a list of all-time players, not coaches.

Though players like Marion Motley, Brian Sipe, and Phil Dawson just missed out on being in the top 10, any one of them could be subbed in at #9 or #10.
There have been quite a few all-time lists put out there since the mid-1980s, and it seems like this one might be one of the most accurate based on the fanbase’s viewpoint.
What are your thoughts on FanRanker.com’s list? Who else would you consider adding to the Top 10?
