The Cleveland Browns are likely to sell at the trade deadline, and tight end David Njoku is likely the most valuable asset that could realistically join a new team. Selected in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Miami product has been one of the league’s more productive all-around tight ends over the past few years, but he may not have a future with the Cleveland Browns. Rookie tight end Harold Fannin appears to be the real deal, and he could make Njoku expendable.

In a vacuum, teams can easily afford to have two reliable tight ends, especially when a young quarterback like Dillon Gabriel is running the offense. However, the tight end is in the final year of his contract and is playing in his age-29 season. He’s too old to be a part of this rebuild, and the Browns should trade David Njoku while they can still get something of value for his services.
