Juan Brito To Miss 8 To 12 Weeks Due To Thumb Surgery

Guardians infielder Juan Brito underwent surgery today on his right thumb to address a high-grade ligament sprain and is expected to miss 8 to 12 weeks. Tim Stebbins of MLB.com was among those to relay the news and noted that Brito suffered the injury sliding into third base last Thursday. Brito is on the 40-man roster but on optional assignment.
