Never in my life did I think it would be bad for the Cleveland Browns to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, on Sunday, the Dawgs won by a score of 13-6 over Aaron Rodgers and company.
This is bad because of the upcoming draft seeding for the Browns in the offseason.
The other extremely disappointing part of the game was that DE Myles Garrett was not able to get that last sack and break the record. Literally, it felt as if Rodgers and the Steelers were purposely trying to avoid the hit and make that the biggest key of the game for them.

Now, even if Garrett gets the record in this upcoming game against the Bengals to finish off the season. Well, many will cite the “extra” game even if the record is broken in what was an incredible season by what one could argue is one of the best defensive players ever…in history.
The Browns now have the 7th-worst record at 4-12 because they won the game against the Steelers. Had they lost, they’d be tied with the Titans, Jets, Cardinals and Giants. The Radiers would remain worst at 2-14.
This matters because of potential draft picks and how the Browns could now end up missing out on a star player because of overall seeding. That’s why I posted this at the beginning of the Browns game when they were up 10-0 against the Steelers:
Yes, this is obviously a joke, but at the same time, it’s completely not because of the concept of “tanking” to get the best seed and best pick ever in the upcoming draft.
Of course, I think there will always be a part of every Browns fan that is happy to beat the Steelers, even if it subsequently goes against the whole tanking concept. It potentially ruins the Steelers’ chances at making the playoffs and that’ll be decided next week for them against the Ravens, who now have a chance because of this Browns win.
This Myles Garrett’s potential record has been a cool part of the season, but also a major distraction throughout. Thus, I think next year if it isn’t on everyone’s mind constantly, it’ll help the team as a whole…
So, here’s an idea…
How about next year we don’t suck and the games against the Steelers actually have some meaning behind them? In the sense that Cleveland is competing for the playoffs and not just the following draft and that seeding.
