The Cavs head North.
A few things about this game are fun.
From a basketball standpoint, Raptors wing Scottie Barnes is the best rookie not named Evan Mobley and seeing him and Mobley share a court will be very fun. They are both long and weird players who are making defensive impact right away. It wouldn’t be shocking if, at season’s end, both are still in the top-five for Rookie of the Year voting and/or one of them wins the award.
Secondly, this is the first time Cleveland is back in Toronto since before the pandemic started. The world obviously isn’t fully back to normal, but this is something on the way to that. Toronto has one the best fan bases in the league and Cleveland has had some of its biggest franchise moments in the city. It feels good to be back, even if both teams are in different spots than they were a few years ago.
