With their playoff hopes at stake this Friday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers are expected to have All-Star center Jarrett Allen at their disposal.
Allen has been out of action since March 6 due to a broken finger. Fortunately for the Cavaliers, the latest update on his status is very encouraging.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, Allen will suit up for tonight’s play-in game against the Atlanta Hawks.
“Major return: Cavaliers All-Star Jarrett Allen (fractured finger) will play tonight vs. Hawks in elimination Play-In Tournament game, barring setback in warmups,” Charania announced on Twitter.

Prior to suffering a broken finger, Allen was averaging 16.1 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.
Allen’s return should allow Evan Mobley and Kevin Love to revert to their normal roles, which is good news for the Cavaliers.
The winner of tonight’s game will face the Miami Heat in the first round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
