
Cleveland opens the season on the road against Memphis.
The Cleveland Cavaliers’ 2021-22 schedule is out.
Per a release from the team, the Cavs open the schedule on Wednesday, October 20 at 8 p.m. EST with a road game against Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies. Later that week, on Friday, the Cavs play their first home game of the season against the Charlotte Hornets at home on Friday with a 7 p.m. tipoff before hosting the Atlanta Hawks the next night at 6 p.m.
A few notes on the schedule, per the team:
- Cleveland will play 15 sets of back-to-back games
- For the first time since 2014, the Cavs will play on New Year’s Eve at home. To end 2021, Cleveland will host Atlanta.
- Cleveland will play every Eastern Conference team four times except for the Knicks, Heat, Celtics and Magic. It will play every Western Conference team twice, per usual.
- The 2021-22 campaign ends on April 10 at home against the defending NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks.
Of note, the Cavs will also host the 2022 NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 20. The full schedule can be found here.
