Donovan Mitchell has been diagnosed with an aggravation of his ankle injury after undergoing an MRI on Monday. Mitchell appeared to aggravate the injury during halftime warmups of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Game 4 loss at the Indiana Pacers.
Mitchell be a game-time decision for Game 5 in Cleveland as the Cavaliers face a 3-1 deficit.
Mitchell exited Game 4 after scoring 12 points on 11 field goal attempts in 20 minutes. Mitchell previously had 33 points in Game 1, 48 points in Game 2 and 43 points in Game 3.
Mitchell missed the final games of the Cavaliers’ 2024 playoff run against the Boston Celtics with a calf strain.
