I don’t like to get political.
Actually, here on the anniversary of 9-11, it’s one of the days where I like to share one of my favorite political videos in the history of the world. When George W. Bush threw the first pitch for the New York Yankees after 9-11 happened.
He had to throw a strike…and he did – it was amazing. A perfect pitch.
Charlie Kirk died due to a shooting – assassinated. The shooter is still out there and it’s scary to think about that fact as well. (This being posted on 9-11 9 am)
Back when the Cavs won a championship in 2016, my life changed. I always thought there would be an incredible and magnificent feeling in how I felt. Sure, I was excited and happy…but life continued…on. I still had my problems; many of them. As we see with the Kirk assassination and, of course, 9-11. The bad things go on.

What I liked most about Charlie Kirk is that he debated with the other side. I’m not trying to talk to Steelers fans. I’d tell them to think about taking off their hats and putting on some Browns gear. Right? Kirk wanted to spread his knowledge with those who didn’t agree and that’s what was so amazing about him.
However, Kirk’s way of spreading his voice and ideas was what I wanted to do with my website. Sure, his ideas are political ideas, but still…the spread of ideas remains the same.
As always, we remember the 2,977 killed in the 9-11 attacks. It makes Cleveland Sports seem small in a lot of ways.
Kirk lost his wife named Erika and two children as well. Kids who won’t have a dad for the rest of their lives. He was only 31. I am 28 and that is scary to think about. As my life goes on and I continue to write this, I am thankful for all of those who defend our country.
You know, I work at the local Goodwill store. With an amazing manager named Rachel running the show.
Whenever I see shoppers wearing gear that has to do with their past or present military service…I thank them for their work. Protecting this country and allowing people like me, like Charlie, and even those random folks checking out, the ability to shop at a local Goodwill in this great country of ours.
May your memory be a blessing, Charlie.
