Least To Most Accurate Shooters In 2025 Three-Point Contest

February 9, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Basketball

On Friday, the eight participants for the 2025 NBA Three-Point Contest were revealed. Many believe this event has taken over as the most exciting event of All-Star Weekend. In addition, there is someone in the field looking to win the event for a third-straight year. Here are the eight participants, listed from least to most accurate from beyond the arc this season.

Least To Most Accurate Shooters In 2025 Three-Point Contest

Cade Cunningham, Detroit Pistons (35.4%)

A first-time All-Star, Cade Cunningham is connecting on 2.3 threes per contest this season. While he’s the least accurate of the eight competitions, he’s also much improved from the 30.9% three-point shooter he was over his first two seasons. In addition, Cunningham has seen his Pistons go from 14 wins in 2023-24 to 26 (and counting) in 2024-25.

Buddy Hield, Golden State Warriors (37.1%)

The winner of the 2020 Three-Point Contest, Buddy Hield will try to become a two-time champ in the Chase Center, his current home arena. The 32-year-old went through a bit of a slump, but he’s had back-to-back games connecting on four three-pointers. At the moment, Hield is 17th all-time with his 2,056 made threes in his career.

Damian Lillard, Milwaukee Bucks (37.7%)

Last year, Damian Lillard became the sixth player to ever win back-to-back Three-Point Contests. This year, he will attempt to become the third to win three straight after Larry Bird and Craig Hodges. Now a nine-time All-Star, Lillard has made 2,749 threes in his career, fourth-most in NBA history.

Tyler Herro, Miami Heat (38.8%)

Now in his sixth season, Tyler Herro was named an All-Star for the first time. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard has made 185 threes this season. That’s the most in the eight man field, and the third-most in the league behind just Malik Beasley and Anthony Edwards.

Jalen Brunson, New York Knicks (39.7%)

If Jalen Brunson can go on one of his patented ‘Brunson Burners’ during the contest, he may just win it. The 28-year-old point guard has also been named to his second-straight All-Star Game. Brunson is just shy of making 40% of his three-point tries for the third consecutive year for the Knicks.

Cameron Johnson, Brooklyn Nets (41.8%)

The Nets decided to hang on to Cameron Johnson after he was involved in many trade rumors up until the trade deadline. This is the third time in his six seasons that Johnson is shooting better than 40% from beyond the arc. He’s at just shy of 40% (39.6%) for his career.

Norman  Powell, Los Angeles Clippers (43.1%)

Having a career year, Norman Powell was seen as one of the top snubs for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game. However, he will still get to head to Oakland though for All-Star Weekend. Now 31 years old, Powell is averaging a career-high of 23.9 points and is shooting better than 43% from downtown for the second consecutive year.

Darius Garland, Cleveland Cavaliers (43.4%)

Darius Garland has been named an NBA All-Star for the second time as Cleveland has an Eastern Conference-best record of 42-10. Shooting 50% from the field and 43.4% from three-point territory, Garland is just shy of having a 50/40/90 season (87.4% from the free-throw line). He is averaging more than 21 points for the third time in four years.
