NBA Fans Are Saddened By Delonte West’s Disturbing Mugshot

June 27, 2024 by The Spun

At one point Delonte West was a solid contributor for some very good Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers teams. But the years have not been kind to him as drug issues have caused his life to spiral. His most recent mugshot has fans more worried than ever.

According to FOX 5 DC, West was recently arrested after being served a warrant for violation of conditions of release and was also charged with resisting arrest. When he was booked, he got his mugshot taken and the results were not pretty to say the least (via NBA Central on X):

Fans were deeply saddened to see what West looks like now at only 40 years old due to the issues he’s had throughout his life:

“extremely sad. dude has lived a very very hard life. really hope he’s able to get help,” one user wrote.

“Damn, he’s really gotten worse :/ Thought he was making a comeback too but the addiction was just too much. This is sad,” wrote another.

“Oh man this is sad. I hope he gets back up on his feet,” a third wrote.

West was a first-round pick out of Saint Joseph’s in 2004 and started 71 games for the Celtics in the 2005-06 season. He was traded to the Cavs in 2008 and started 90 games over his first two years playing alongside LeBron James.

But even during his NBA playing days he was dealing with problems.

We can only hope West is able to turn his life around before something tragic happens.
