Top-Selling NBA Jerseys In First Half Of 2024-25 Season

January 26, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Basketball

On Friday, the NBA released their top-selling jerseys thus far on the 2024-25 season. It is based off of NBAStore.com’s sales from the first half of the season. One thing is for sure: the older guys still are beloved by the fans. The top-two selling jerseys have combined to play 38 seasons in the league with eight championships. The list of the top-15 is varied as it consists of long-time veterans, young stars, and international icons.

Curry And James Are Still The Top-Selling NBA Jerseys

Despite the Golden State Warriors struggles of late, fans are still going out to buy Stephen Curry’s jersey in droves. The 36-year-old leads the way in jersey sales at the midway point of the 2024-25 season. Now in his 16th season, Curry is leading the league in free-throw accuracy (94.0%) while averaging 22.6 points and 6.3 assists.

Second on the list is the all-time leader in career points, none other than LeBron James. The 40-year-old remains remarkably productive in his 22nd season and seventh with the Los Angeles Lakers. In his 39 appearances in 2024-25, the four-time MVP has posted averages of 23.6 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 8.9 assists.

On Thursday, the 2025 NBA All-Star Game starters were announced. Both Curry and James were named as Western Conference starters.

Young Stars Featured As Well

While the list has all-time greats (Kevin Durant is also 13th), there are others that are striving to be seen in that light early on in their career. The recently-turned 21-year-old Victor Wembanyama is fifth on the list. The San Antonio Spurs wunderkind is already the heavy favorite to win Defensive Player of the Year in just his second season. The 7-foot-3 center is averaging 24.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.1 steals, and a league-leading 4.0 blocks.

A spot behind Wembanyama and sixth on the list is Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves. The first overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, Edwards is just 23 years old. He was the lead piece last season on a Minnesota team that reached the Western Conference Finals for just the second time in franchise history. This season, he is currently averaging 26.2 points and has a league-leading 184 made three-pointers.

Also on the top-sellers list that is at the age of 25 or younger are Ja Morant (seventh), Luka Doncic (eighth), and LaMelo Ball (12th).

Just One All-Star Starter Not Listed

As mentioned, the NBA named their 10 All-Star starters on Thursday. Nine of the 10 made the top-15 list of best-selling jerseys. The other All-Star starters not previously brought up who made the list are Jayson Tatum (third), Jalen Brunson (fourth), Giannis Antetokounmpo (ninth), Nikola Jokic (10th), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (11th), and Donovan Mitchell (15th).

The only All-Star starter not seen on the list is Karl-Anthony Towns of the Knicks. That is a bit surprising as he has rapidly become a fan-favorite in a huge market due to his play. Towns also was traded late into the offseason which may have affected his sales somewhat.

The only player not already mentioned in this article who made the list is Devin Booker (14th).
