The hype train for Ohio State is very real heading into the 2024 season.
The Buckeyes have a lot of talent from last year’s team returning and also added some great players from the transfer portal, including former Alabama safety Caleb Downs.
It has Andy Staples excited for the Buckeyes to get their season going and he thinks they’re pretty similar to this past season’s Michigan Wolverines team.
“This team is very similar and I know Ohio State fans probably don’t like to hear this, very similar to last year’s Michigan team,” Staples said. “In terms of how many people could be in the NFL right now but decided to run it back.”

The Wolverines had players like J.J. McCarthy, Blake Corum, and Roman Wilson all return for the 2023 season and it resulted in a national title.
The Buckeyes will be hoping for a similar situation after players like Jack Sawyer, J.T. Tuimoloau, and Denzel Burke all decided to return for this next season. Heck, running back TreVeyon Henderson is also returning.
Let’s see if they can put it all together when the 2024 season starts in late August and early September.
