C.J. Stroud Praised For Classy Move At Ohio State’s Pro Day

Ohio State hosted its annual Pro Day on Wednesday, and former Buckeye star C.J. Stroud was in attendance.

Stroud was there to support his former teammates, and he also took time to speak with media members covering the event. In fact, he stuck it out beyond the actual workout to make sure he fulfilled as many media requests as possible.

“Ohio State pro day has been over for more than an hour. CJ Stroud is still here doing media for basically everyone who asks,” ESPN’s Matt Miller noted on X/Twitter.

This gesture by Stroud drew widespread praise after Miller made it public.

“As if I couldn’t like him any more…” Miller’s colleague Stephania Bell said.

“Class guy. Texans got it right,” one fan said.

“And when media members came up to him for interviews as pro day ended, he asked reporters to go talk to the players who worked out first and then he’d come back,” explained Ohio State writer and podcaster Tony Gerdeman.

“A true great person, role model, and elite QB,” a fan chimed in.

“Just who he is. Hard not to love that guy,” another person added.

Stroud definitely seems to totally understand and embrace all that goes into being a franchise quarterback. Houston Texans fans have every reason to be excited.

The No. 2 overall pick in last year’s draft has also made his affinity for Ohio State clear before today, like when he gave a free recruiting pitch before the national championship game in January.

“If you put on the tape, even from college, you can’t play at Ohio State, under Coach Day, who is a world-renowned offensive coordinator, play caller,” Stroud said on “The Pat McAfee Show” at the time. “His offense is pretty deep when it comes to being knowledgeable. You have to know everything. I even had more responsibilities in college then I do now in this scheme.”
