Quinn Ewers, the No. 1 quarterback recruit in the country who enrolled early at Ohio State, will be playing for a new college football program in 2022.
The former five-star quarterback announced earlier this week his intentions to transfer out of the Buckeyes’ program.
Ewers is reportedly expected to land somewhere in Texas. According to 247Sports, he’s set to visit Texas Tech on Sunday.

Texas and Texas A&M have also been mentioned as possible destinations.
Fans could see Ewers having success at Texas Tech.
“Patrick Mahomes went to TT. That turned out pretty good for him in spite of an underwhelming win/loss record,” one fan tweeted.
“This was his plan the entire time. He had no interest of staying at Ohio State from the start,” another fan speculated.
That latter point likely isn’t true. He probably just didn’t expect C.J. Stroud to be a Heisman Trophy contender in his first season as starter.
A commercial featuring Quinn Ewers just aired in Columbus during the commercial break of the Big Ten Championship Game. Guessing that one won’t be airing much longer.

It will be very interesting to see where Ewers ends up. He was the No. 1 recruit in college football before enrolling early at Ohio State.
