The days of Ohio State dominating Michigan are over – at least for now. For the past three seasons, the Wolverines have simply dominated the Buckeyes regardless where “The Game” is being played.
We asked former Ohio State wide receivers Chris Olave and Jaxon Smith-Njigba about the Buckeyes’ recent shortcomings. They’re at Super Bowl LVIII Radio Row this week as part of Bounty’s House of Wingman experience.
Olave, who had a 2-1 record against Michigan during his time at Ohio State, didn’t seem too worried about his alma mater’s recent losing streak.
“In my opinion, it’s the biggest rivalry in sports. We’ve dominated for the past decade,” Olave told The Spun. “They finally got a couple of games. It’s probably going to come back over to Ohio State this year though. So I’m excited about it.”
Smith-Njigba also expressed confidence in the Buckeyes, but he also admit it’s been rough watching the Wolverines come out on top three years in a row.
“It’s definitely upsetting, but it’s not a rivalry if you don’t lose every now and then,” Smith-Njigba said. “At the end of the day, we know where the best school lies and the best players lie. So that alone gives me comfort.”

Even if Olave and Smith-Njigba don’t make the trip to Columbus for “The Game” this year, they’ll most likely find a way to watch while enjoying their favorite combination.
“If I’m watching football, I need some wings,” Smith-Njigba said. “Wings go with football. Bounty goes with wings. It all goes together. It’s my favorite combination to watch some football and chill.”
