Just two days after suffering a heartbreaking loss to Michigan in the Rose Bowl, former Alabama offensive lineman Seth McLaughlin entered the transfer portal. It didn’t take long for him to find a new home.
Hayes Fawcett of On3 reported Saturday morning that McLaughlin is taking his talents to Columbus to join Ohio State’s roster.
“I really like the offensive line coach, Coach Frye and trust him to get me to where I want to go as a player,” McLaughlin told On3.
McLaughlin has one year of eligibility remaining.

After starting eight games at center in 2022, McLaughlin started all 14 games for Alabama this season. Unfortunately, his last game with the Crimson Tide didn’t go very well, as he struggled to snap the ball in the Rose Bowl.
Not only will McLaughlin get the opportunity to avenge his loss to Michigan next season, he’ll get to prove he’s an NFL-caliber offensive lineman.
