Michigan has dominated its rivalry with Ohio State over the last three years, but that doesn’t mean the Wolverines can get complacent.
Even though it is only two days after Michigan won the national championship, former Maize and Blue star Taylor Lewan is still concerned about one of Ohio State’s top defensive players revealing he’ll be back with the team in 2024.
“This… this is not ideal news,” Lewan tweeted in response to cornerback Denzel Burke announcing his return to school.

A first-team All-Big Ten performer in 2023, Burke isn’t the only Buckeye standout running it back next season.
Offensive guard Donovan Jackson also announced on Wednesday that he’s sticking around.

Without question, going three straight years without winning the Big Ten or beating their arch rival Michigan played a major role in Burke and Jackson’s decisions.
If Ohio State doesn’t do either of those things in 2024, it will be viewed by fans as another wasted campaign.
