Former NFL Quarterback Questioning Marvin Harrison Jr.’s Pro Day Decision

Ex-Packers QB Kurt Benkert is beginning to grow concerned about Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr. as the pre-draft process plays out.

After reports surfaced that the Buckeyes All-American would not be working out at his Pro Day today, the five-year NFL signal-caller had some questions.

“No combine, no pro day.. what is happening right now,” Benkert said.

According to The MMQB’s Albert Breer, Harrison is “preparing for the NFL season, and doing it at OSU, rather than training to run 40s.” Adding, “He asked the 9 teams he met with in Indy if they needed to see anything at Pro Day. They all said no.”

Harrison is the consensus top wide receiver in a draft filled with outstanding pass catchers.

In his three seasons in Columbus, he hauled in 155 receptions for 2,613 yards and 31 touchdowns; 14 of which came last season with defenses primarily focusing on him.

The decision to skip out on the Combine and Ohio State’s Pro Day isn’t expected to impact Harrison’s draft stock at all. As many draft analysts still have the former Bucks wideout going somewhere in the top-five.
