Former NFL Wide Receiver Doesn’t Hold Back Thoughts On Marvin Harrison Jr Skipping Ohio State Pro Day

Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. apparently offended a few people by sitting out his very own pro day.

During this Friday’s episode of “The Herd” on FS1, former NFL wide receiver James Jones was asked about Harrison’s preparation for the draft.

Jones didn’t have an issue with Harrison opting out of the workouts at the NFL Combine. Watching Ohio State’s pro day from the sidelines, however, is a different story.

“For me, I don’t like this at all. I truly don’t,” Jones said. “The main reason I don’t like this is because I’m a competitor. I understand this man is in a great situation. Turn the tape on. But there’s a lot of dudes like that. Calvin Johnson was like that.

“And if we’re really keeping it 100, Calvin Johnson was better than you in college. Calvin Johnson had a pro day. There’s a lot of dudes who had your talent, if not better talent, that still had the pro day.”

Even though Harrison has been training in the shadows for the past few months, he’s expected to be the No. 1 wide receiver taken off the draft board.

Harrison had 155 receptions for 2,613 yards and 31 touchdowns during his time at Ohio State. His tape is awfully impressive to say the least.
