Ohio State has picked up a transfer portal commitment from former Indiana guard Gabe Cupps, he announced via Instagram on Wednesday.
Cupps only played in four games for Indiana this past season and was sidelined for most of the year due to surgery to repair the meniscus in his left knee. During his freshman campaign with the Hoosiers, Cupps started 22 games and averaged 2.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.
This will be somewhat of a homecoming for Cupps, who was Ohio’s Mr. Basketball in 2022. He played high school basketball at Centerville, which is about 25 minutes south of Dayton.
The guard will join class of 2025 commits Amare Bynum and Dorian Jones as newcomers on Ohio State’s 2025-26 roster.
