Jealous SEC Fan Has No Idea Where Lake Erie Is In Ohio

Scorned college football fans whose favorite team just lost a recruit to another program sometimes say the darnedest things.

On Monday, Ohio State beat out Auburn and others for Enterprise (Ala.) four-star EDGE Zion Grady, a top-100 player in the 2025 recruiting class.

One Auburn fan who posted on the 247Sports message board covering the Tigers can’t wrap his head around why an in-state prospect would choose to go play in Columbus, Ohio.

In his message, the man revealed his lack of knowledge of Ohio’s geography.

Well wait until he takes a visit there in the Winter. We should encourage such. I just don’t understand how Ohio State and USC keep pulling these kids from Deep South? Especially to Columbus. There is literally nothing there to get excited about. The city is a dump and crime ridden and the lake effect weather in Winter is brutal. Family lives there, I know.

“Auburn fans really think that Columbus gets lake effect weather from Lake Erie,” one OSU fan tweeted along with some crying laughing emojis.

Maybe AUCowboy needs some help with locating Lake Erie, but we can’t blame him for being disappointed that his team lost out of Grady, at least for now.

The No. 6 player in Alabama, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, Grady is the No. 66 overall recruit in his class and projects as “a Power Four multi-year starter in a 34 OLB role with the ability to develop into a Day-2 or Day-3 NFL Draft choice,” per analyst Cooper Petagna.

Ohio State currently has the top-ranked 2025 recruiting class in the country.
