Joel Klatt Names ‘Biggest Question’ Facing Ohio State Despite Stacked Roster

Ohio State is already a popular pick to win next season’s national championship for college football.

Ryan Day’s team is loaded heading into the season with plenty of players returning and a bunch more coming in, including former Alabama safety Caleb Downs. Downs transferred from Alabama to Ohio State after he entered the transfer portal.

While Joel Klatt thinks OSU has the best roster in the sport, he still has one big question.

“Their biggest question is going to be their quarterback situation and I get it, how do you put them number one but to me they can be number one,” Klatt said. “The offseason that Ohio State had and the roster that they’re going to put on the field to me makes them number one.”

The Buckeyes will have a new starting quarterback after Kyle McCord transferred to the Syracuse Orange.

If they can get good quarterback play from one of Devin Brown or Kansas State transfer Will Howard, then Ohio State will be in great shape for the 2024 season.

The Buckeyes finished the 2023 season with an 11-2 record with both losses coming in their final two games: the regular season finale against Michigan and the Cotton Bowl against Missouri.

The pressure is on to beat the Wolverines and win it all in 2024.
