Joel Klatt Says Ohio State Is Primed To Make A Big Run In 2024

The Ohio State Buckeyes have disappointed in recent years but FOX’s Joel Klatt believes there’s something special building in Columbus for next season.

Taking to his self-titled podcast, the college football analyst laid out why he thinks Ryan Day’s Bucks are primed to make some big noise in 2024.

I did not see this coming … They’re basically all coming back. … Think about the guys who have said no to the NFL draft and they’re all coming back. This is eerily similar by the way to Michigan a year ago at this point. … They went into the portal and got Will Howard… he was the Kansas State quarterback that won a Big 12 Championship over TCU. They get the best running back in the SEC: Quinshon Judkins. Now he’s going to split carries with TreVeyon Henderson? That’s immediately the best backfield in America. … I tell ya man, Ohio State is primed to make a run.

Ohio State returns some huge pieces on offense and essentially all of its draft-eligible defensive players that helped form one of the best defenses in the country last year.

Quarterback remains a little bit of a question for the Buckeyes. But Will Howard is a more than capable QB who should at least provide some competition at the position this spring.

It’s hard to imagine OSU being in a much better position for next season. Maybe this is the year they finally beat TTUN and win their first national championship in a decade.
