Former Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord didn’t shock many people when he entered the transfer portal a few weeks ago.
His time with the program appeared to be coming to an end towards the end of the season and he made it official before the bowl game. He then took some visits before deciding to take his talents to Syracuse.
Even though he’s no longer at Ohio State, McCord recently confirmed that it was a “business decision” to leave the program.
“You guys know it just as well as I do, at the end of the day, the top level of college football and then especially onto the pros, it’s a business. At the end of the day, Ohio State had to make a business decision that they felt was best for them, and I had to do the same thing,” McCord said, (first transcribed by Eleven Warriors).
Ohio State will go into next season with Devin Brown and Lincoln Kienholz as the top two favorites to be the starting quarterback while McCord will start for Syracuse.
McCord will try and get Syracuse back to relevancy after going 6-7 this past season.
